This is how it begun
Velda, which started its business in 1969 as an aquarium shop with an area of 30 m², developed into a company, which had over 100 staff members in 2005.

In the mid-seventies a start was made with the manufacture of a small number of aquarium products. Both manufacture and sales turned out to be successful and the assortment extended gradually. In 1977 a production hall was brought into operation at "de Ossenboer" in Enschede.

With the knowledge gained in aquaristics, the first pond products were made in the early eighties.

In 1990 the construction of a new building was started at "De Giem" in Enschede. In the years subsequent to this extension took place constantly. The last addition was realized in 2004 and includes 5,000 m² of production halls and offices. More
