In our column “The pond of” we are again pleased to let a true pond enthusiast have their say. This time we discuss the pond of Dionne Nibbelink from Wierden. Together with her partner, Dionne is a true pond and animal lover in general. We asked Dionne the familiar questions and of course she sent us some nice pictures of her pond.
Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I am Dionne Nibbelink 34 years old and live in Wierden.
How long have you had the pond?
We started in 2010 and it has grown bigger and bigger. The pond as it is now we have had for 2 years.
Why did you choose a pond at the time?
We both really enjoyed having fish.
What kind of fish do you all have in the pond?
We only have koi in the pond.
What kind of fish food do you feed your fish?
Special pellet food for koi and dried caterpillars.
How much attention per week do you pay to the pond?
We actually pay attention to our pond every day.
What kind of equipment do you have in and around your pond?
Special filter for koi and a plant filter and also a skimmer to suck up all the dirty particles.
What do you all do to keep your pond and the fish in the right condition?
Occasionally test water and if it is not good arrange for it to be good
What are you still missing in or around your pond?
A beautiful lamp for the pond that you were raffling off the other day for the most beautiful pond.
