Microorganisms are the key to clear water and a natural balance in garden ponds. Billions of these micro-organisms ensure that the organic components in the pond are broken down and that the pond plants are supplied with nutrients and carbon dioxide (CO²). In order to maintain a healthy and natural water biotope, measures must be taken to ensure the reproduction and activity of these important organisms. Microorganisms do not grow freely in water, they need a substrate to which they can attach themselves. Superalite is a completely new approach to pond bottom cover. The growth of microorganisms is spectacular. A stable natural balance can be assumed after just three months.
