Quick GH booster for ponds!
Heavy rain showers are becoming more frequent, causing the water hardness of your pond to decrease quickly. Rainwater lacks minerals that are important for the pond, but with a GH boost, the water quality is quickly restored. Always keep a bucket of GH Booster nearby and use it after every rain shower.
A dose of 500 ml is sufficient to increase the GH value of 4000 litres of pond water by a total of 4 °DH. First dissolve the required dose of GH Booster in a large amount of water, then spread it over the pond. Wear gloves and wash your hands thoroughly after handling this product.
Soft pond water, having a GH value (also referred to as total hardness, expressed in DH) lower than GH 5 °DH can easily become acid. Continuous rainfall will intensify this process. Especially in autumn and winter this can result in death of fish. Also the growth and development of oxygen producing plants (like hornwort, waterweed and pond weed) will be inhibited at a too low GH value. GH Booster quickly increases the GH value of the pond water.
A healthy and stable pond environment has a total hardness ranging from GH 8 to 12 °DH.
Regular inspection (4 to 5 times a year) of the GH value is therefore desired.
