Saprolegnia

Saprolegnia

Control Saprolegnia with VeldaSaprolegnia is a fungal infection in pond fish that usually results from a bacterial infection. The infection can be recognized by the white, fluffy spots on the fish. Fish can also contract the fungus during the winter months because it can occur at temperatures between 2 and 30 degrees. Because fish often have weakened resistance in the winter, they are more likely to contract a fungal infection.

A combination of different drugs has a good prospect of cure. On the one hand a remedy against the bacterial infection and on the other hand a remedy against the fungal infection. Fish that are sufficiently supplemented with a good quality food have less chance that a bacterial infection can spread with a fungal infection because they have a higher resistance.
