Pond Gravel

Pond Gravel

Gravel for ponds is a cover substrate. It is both useful and decorative. Pond gravel is special gravel suitable for use in the pond. Normal gravel is not suitable for use in the pond. This is because the gravel is washed and cleaned of silica and other harmful substances that cause algae growth in particular.

Pond Gravel VeldaIf you cover the pond soil in planting baskets with gravel, the fish will not root around in the soil and the pond plants can grow undisturbed. For marsh bottoms, the same is true. A gravel-covered bottom beautifully shows the contours of the pond and a clear view of the fish. By also covering the pond edge with gravel, you camouflage the pond liner and give the pond a natural look.
